One of My Favorite Vancouver Hotels
Before talking about the food, it’s worth mentioning the hotel itself.
The Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront has long been one of my favorite places to stay in Vancouver. The location is difficult to beat, offering convenient access to downtown, the waterfront, Stanley Park, and many of the city’s most popular attractions.
What keeps me coming back, however, is the overall experience. The property consistently delivers excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere that makes every visit enjoyable.
That same level of hospitality carries directly into P2B Bistro & Bar.
From the moment I arrived at the restaurant, the staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. In today’s hospitality industry, authentic service can be difficult to find, which makes it even more noticeable when you experience it.
First Impressions of P2B Bistro & Bar
The restaurant immediately impresses with its views.
Large windows overlook Coal Harbour, allowing diners to enjoy one of Vancouver’s most scenic waterfront settings. Boats move through the marina while the North Shore Mountains provide a spectacular backdrop that feels uniquely Vancouver.

For my entrée, I ordered the Braised Beef Short Rib, served with whipped potatoes, asparagus, gremolata, and mushroom ragout.
From the moment it arrived, I knew I had made the right choice.
The presentation was clean and inviting, with the short rib positioned as the centerpiece of the plate. The beef was beautifully prepared and cooked exactly as a braised short rib should be.
The meat was exceptionally tender and pulled apart effortlessly with a fork.

Every interaction felt genuine, professional, and welcoming. The team did an outstanding job of making guests feel comfortable without ever becoming intrusive.
Service was attentive, questions were answered promptly, and the pacing of the meal felt natural from beginning to end.
Great food is important, but great hospitality is often what guests remember most.
That level of service is one of the reasons I continue returning to both the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront and P2B Bistro & Bar.

Coal Harbour remains one of Vancouver’s most desirable waterfront neighborhoods, and the restaurant offers front-row views of the harbour and surrounding mountains.
Throughout dinner, I found myself repeatedly looking out the windows and appreciating the scenery.
What I particularly appreciate is that P2B does not rely solely on the view.
Many waterfront restaurants can become tourist destinations because of their location alone. P2B succeeds because it pairs the scenery with quality food and exceptional service.
